Return of the Emails
Some times you send an email and it is sent back to you as undeliverable why?
The most common cause is a mistyped address
It must be in the form
“mymate” @ “hisemailprovider” “.com” “.co.uk” “.net” etc
The next reason is attachments.
Are they too big? In almost all cases the maximum size is 10MB. Try to send as a zip file. Our maybe split it into 2 or more emails.
Is it an executable file or program? If so send as a zip file.
Is it to a company? A vast majority of Companies reject attachments out of hand. If it is a document, copy and paste it into the body of the email.
I have a program called “mail washer”. (“F” version available)
If I start getting problems I instruct mail washer to bounce these emails so it appears I have closed my account.
If you are unsure try sending it to yourself.
When the content is important send it to the intended recipient AND yourself, and CC to other interested parties. This makes it far harder to be told, I never received it, you never sent it.
When I send a bulk email, I send it TO myself and BCC to every body else. I also copy and paste the body into a new email and delete all other emails etc mentioned.
That way it appears to originate from myself only.
The use of free email addresses.
I use these as it means if I change my ISP (Internet Service Provider), I keep my email address. I lost a Demon and an AOL email address. Some ISPs limit the inbox to 30MB or smaller!
There is now a new kid on the block. It is called, “myhandle.com”. This works as a redirection service. You give every body your myhandle email and it then redirects to, your personal, your work, or a holding email etc depending on who sent the email.
In e-mail, the abbreviation CC indicates secondary recipients of a message: those who are to receive a copy of a message directed to another. The list of CCed recipients is visible to all other recipients of the message. An additional BCC (blind carbon copy) field is available for hidden notification; recipients listed in the BCC field receive a copy of the message, but are not shown on any other recipient's copy (including other BCC recipients).
Stop the rot coming soon
