More on the brothers

This weekend was fun
Collected Geoff from Sydenham station Sat eve.
Bus to Penge for a few in The Moon and Stars,
Never could eat on an empty stomach!
Then back to mine for a curry, pupadoms with mango chutney, lime pickle and a home made tomato and onion relish.
Savoury rice, chicken tikka masala, jalfrezi and onion bhajis.
this was all thorough enjoyed and my cheffing praised.
Then shock Geoff revealed the only thing I served that he had before was rice but usually plain boiled and the mango chutney. He was thankful to have his taste buds caressed with the new flavours.
We retired to the settees and washed it down and chatted about this and that.
Sunday we went for a walk reminiscing Penge and noticed another Pub shut The Queen Adelaide; Dad had his Shellfish stall outside there, after he retired.
At one time Penge had more pubs in a square mile , I believe than anywhere else in England, sadly they are steadily closing one by one.
Then a quick trip on the tram to meet younger brother Tony his boys Kerry, Robert and his girlfriend Koren at the cemetery
After respects to mum dad and uncle Les, return to Moon and stars when Robert confesses he has not got his oyster card, all school children in London have free bus and tram travel most adults find this a mixed blessing though.
Any way Tony and Robert return to Croydon in the car, while Geoff Koren Kerry and I go on the tram and bus.
While waiting for the tram Koren realises she has no hat or gloves, I suspect at this time Roberts ears will be burning as he is in "THE WARM CAR WITH HIS OWN HAT AND GLOVES".
I feel she may have been miffed.
As it turned up we all arrived in the pub together. A couple of rounds later and we head back to mine again, for dinner.
A turkey chicken and duck galantine, plus roasted trimmings etc served 2 hours after our return and a simple pudding ice cream and jelly.
This was finished of with more chat and lubrication until Tony had to the boys back to their mum for seven o’clock.
Monday removal of debris and an audit confirmed a good time had by all, was I ever glad I do not suffer from the dreaded hangover.

Well as bugs bunny said
“That’s all folks”
Seezya
